CBSE Workshop on Experiential Learning In KVM
Kundan Vidya Mandir hosts 2 Day CBSE Workshop on Experiential Learning
Kundan Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Ludhiana was the venue for a 2 day Capacity Building workshop on Experiential Learning for teachers of different schools all over Punjab conducted by the CBSE Centre of Excellence, Chandigarh.
Firmly believing in the adage that “One must learn by doing the thing, for though you think you know it-you have no certainty, until you try”, KVM provided an excellent opportunity for teachers of various schools in the state to hone their teaching skills through this Programme. The Resource Persons for this highly educational workshop were the eminent educationists, Dr Navneet Kaur, Principal, Shri Guru Hargobind Public School, Ludhiana and Prof. Ajay Khosla from DAV College of Education, Abohar.
According to the school Principal, Mr. A. P. Sharma, “Experiential Learning is the need of the hour. To refresh our teaching community on this much needed methodology, it is essential that such Programmes be held regularly. We are indeed obliged to the Board officials for providing us this opportunity to enhance the teaching skills of our teachers. Learning through hands-on-experience solidifies a lesson through practice rather than just oral instruction. Experiential Learning leads to a higher rate of learning retention and helps students develop knowledge, skills and values from directly experiencing them. We are sure to host many other such workshops which will give our teachers further exposure to new learning pedagogies”.
