Late Shri Kundan Lal

Jawaharlal Nehru, involved himself in the Indian freedom struggle. In 1941 when our nationalist leaders were involved in the freedom struggle, the visionary in Sh. Kundan Lal Ji was working towards the initiation of Quit Illiteracy Movement in Ludhiana. With an avowed aim of infusing a spirit of patriotism and nationalism among the students, he founded a school in 1941 at Daresi, in the heart of Ludhiana city. His diligent work and untiring efforts bore fruit and soon KVM became a leading name in the educational circles.
The increasing demands in the field of education, helped him to set up another campus which is now in Civil Lines, Ludhiana. Kundan Vidya Mandir takes pride in becoming the first school in Punjab to get affiliation to CBSE in 1963. After the death of Shri Kundan Lal Ji, a Trust and Managing Committee comprising eminent educationists, industrialists and bureaucrats was established.
