Unity and Freedom: Highlights from Independence Day Event
Our school celebrated India's 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The day began with a Prabhat Pheri, where students and teachers took to the streets, singing patriotic songs and spreading the spirit of freedom.
The ceremonial function was graced by Mr Ashwani Kumar, Secretary, Shri Kundan Lal Trust as the Chief Guest, our Trustee, Mr Ramesh Agrawal, the Vice Principal, Mr. S.B Choudhary and the administrative heads. The program commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the chief guest, followed by a vibrant cultural program showcasing the rich heritage of India. The Iron Eagle cadets, NCC and the band students presented a precision drill display. The event began with the singing of the National Anthem, which resonated with the hearts of all present. Students presented patriotic songs, dances and speeches filling the atmosphere with national pride. A mesmerizing Bhangra performance by the students of Hindu Putri Pathshala, a slum area school adopted by KVM, left everyone spellbound.
The event concluded on a high note with the whole auditorium singing a patriotic song in unison. Mr. Ashwani Kumar, in his address, emphasized the importance of upholding the values of freedom, unity, and integrity. A formal vote of thanks was proposed by Amodini Bhaskar, the Head Girl of the school.
The celebration was a testament to the school's commitment to nurturing responsible citizens, who would carry forward the legacy of India's freedom struggle.
