International Games Day: Learning the Importance of Physical Activity
⚽🏀 "Sports is the greatest physical poetry." 🏈⚾
Developing Teamwork and Sportsmanship is one of the most essential Life Skills for children. This Wednesday Week activity concentrated on promoting leadership, self-esteem, physical fitness, cognitive strength, confidence, and a strong personality through physical sports and mind boosters.
Under the guidance of Dr. Nafees Bhambi , Section Incharge, Preparatory Section , the children of Classes I and II were encouraged to bring their favourite Board or Block games like Tic-Tac-Toe, Rubik's Cube, Snakes and Ladders, Ludo, Jenga, Sudoku, Scrabble, Chess, and more. These activities provide a platform to promote social values such as teamwork, respect, and fair play. It's always heartening to see children actively participating in these games with their peers.
After the board games, children were taken to the playground to learn about the International Games: Running and Hurdle Race. It was a thrilling experience for them to be a part of this day of learning. These physical activities play a vital role in demonstrating the importance of physical activity and the benefits of sports. Activity-based learning is an excellent opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate the joy of ‘Learning by doing’.
The theme of the week, "Entertainment," was justified by the happiness and excitement on the children's faces. The day was filled with both mental and physical knowledge and fun, making it an excellent way to learn life skills while having a good time.
People who play together,
Win together!!
