Kundan Vidya Mandir remains committed to take initiatives to foster a sense of social responsibility among its students and encourage the community to actively participate in humanitarian endeavours.
Today a successful blood donation camp in collaboration with The Rock Foundation and Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana was held in the school campus where a large number of donors participated , which represents an important step towards addressing the region's ongoing blood shortage.
The Chief Guest for the event Dr Sandeep Puri, the Principal & Professor at DMCH, a prominent social activist, and philanthropist, was accorded a warm welcome by the Iron Eagle officers and NCC cadets of the school.
The school Principal, Mr. A.P. Sharma, the Secretary Shri Kundan Lal Trust , Mr Ashwani Kumar and the Vice Principal, Mr. S.B. Chaudhary graced the occasion with their benign presence.
It's a matter of great pride that the members of the student Prefect Council made all the arrangements themselves for this noble cause.
The chief guest, Dr Sandeep Puri while addressing the gathering emphasised that donating blood is a safe and simple process and donors can usually donate whole blood every 56 days. Aside from the obvious benefit of helping others, donating blood can also have health benefits for the donor, such as reducing the risk of certain diseases and stimulating the production of new blood cells.
