Kundan Vidya Mandir Alumni Association (KVMAA) has initiated a drive to guide and motivate the school students of classes X to XII with a motive of giving back to our roots and keeping the spirit of fellowship alive.
The speaker for the very 1st session of this initiative was Dr. Vikas Jindal, President KVMAA and a proud Kundanite from the batch of 1983 He is a Professor and HOD at Himachal Dental College, Sundernagar, HP. He is practicing and teaching Periodontology for the past 26 years and is actively involved in the field of research.
The session commenced with the formal welcome of the resource person by the school principal Mr AP Sharma. He addressed the gathering saying that alumni associations are important because they foster a sense of community among former students, allowing them to maintain connections, share experiences, and provide valuable support for each other.
Mr. Kapil Gupta, the Secretary, KVMAA also graced the occasion.
The speaker of the the session wonderfully explained - what is stress , its causes and how to de-Stress.
He also touched the sensitive issues for the teenagers like peer pressure, comparison, failures, bullying, choice of careers, FOMO, marks, appearances and the ways to handle it by striking a balance between studies and social media by limiting the screen time . He emphasised that there is a need to improve parent child relationships and also encouraged the children to be open with their parents.
It was an Interactive and enlightening session wherein the students felt motivated, inspired and touched by Dr Jindal's personal experience and the presentations.
