'Sur Sangam' - a musical Extravaganza at Kundan Vidya Mandir.
Kundanites experienced the joy of their soul’s awakening through Sur Sangam- a singing competition for classes LKG to XII today at Kundan Vidya Mandir civil lines Ludhiana.
Mr. A. P. Sharma, the school principal, was the chief guest of the occasion.
Mrs Sonia Verma the school vice principal ualso graced the occasion.
The function began with lighting the ceremonial lamp and invoking the blessings of the Lord . Thereafter the golden history and purpose of Sur Sangam was shared and the audience was apprised of the great motive and vision of Late Mr. M P. Gupta- the patron of this singing Contest.
It is worth mentioning that 1380 of students from LKG to XII, categorized in eight groups, participated in the audition rounds and about 50 singers reached the finals. The participants transported the audience to the world of ecstasy with their melodious songs and soulful performances and they received enthusiastic applause and praise.
The panel of judges comprising Mrs Savita Uppal, the retired principal Arya college Ludhiana, Mr.Tejwant Kittu popularly called the music machine and Mr Sunil Narula had the tough time deciding the best out of the best.
The chief guest Mr. A.P. Sharma congratulated the winners and encouraged the students to opt for music as their hobby as music is the food for the soul and essence of life.
