Story Telling Competition
Story telling is a unique human skill shared amongst people far and wide. It opens up the vivid imaginations that runs wild in children and it also builds confidence and enhances speaking skills. Competitions are the best way to build the confidence in children. Keeping this in mind, an ENGLISH STORY TELLING COMPETITION was conducted for the classes IV and V to enhance the confidence and speaking skills of the students. The children participated in the competition actively and enthusiastically and performed spectacularly narrating their favourite stories with awesome enthusiasm, props, actions, voice modulation and impressive expressions which impressed the judges very much.The judgement was based on props, action, pronunciation, performance and presentation skill of the children. The competition was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The young story tellers won everyone’s heart and were applauded. It reflected the efforts of the children and parents put in along with the support of the teachers. The appropriate use of voice modulation and body language enhanced imagination and expressions, creative gestures and facial expression was highly appreciated. The young vibrant storytellers came forth with wonderful tales. While some stories provided food for thought, some reinforced moral values and some were humorous. The stories were adjudged on the basis of expression, confidence, diction and presentation skills of the children.
