KVM Launches Project -My Punjab 2041
Kundan Vidya Mandir is an elite 81 year old educational institution, which has always strived to inculcate futuristic vision in its student while encouraging them to have pride in their traditions and heritage.
The Project My Punjab-2041 is another such endeavour in this direction. Addressing a Press Conference launching this project, the school Principal Mr. A. P. Sharma informed the members of the media that we took cognizance of the fact that the youth of Punjab is moving away from its roots and feels disheartened about their future in the State and is moving to foreign lands. To ensure that the children of today have pride in the rich cultural heritage of this land and also feel that they can have a brilliant future in Punjab itself, this project has been launched. Punjabi youth must be inspired by laying a foundation of pride for their motherland.
This project is the brainchild of Dr Rajan Gupta, an eminent scientist in the US and grandson of our Founder Late Rai Sahib Shri Kundan Lal Ji. This project consists of many activities which will ensure that students themselves envision how they can make Punjab a truly vibrant, prosperous and colourful State by 2041. Coincidentally 2041 is also the centennial year of the school.
The project My Punjab 2041 consists of many events and competitions which will create awareness about Punjabi Virsa. The students will also be made to think of various ways to make Punjab successful in all fields – be it tourism, hospitality, commerce, technology, education, manufacturing etc.
We envisage involving other schools of the district and eventually making it a state wide endeavour. School has planned to visit various schools of state to rejuvenate the youth by performing Nukkadnataks and flash mob events.
