Group Discussion Middle Section
Report on National Youth Day January 15, 2019 Reader's Club, Middle Section celebrated the 'National Youth Day' with a theme 'Let's Be Better Human Beings'. The occasion was graced with the presence of Incharge Middle Section, Dr.(Mrs.) Manisha Gangwar. The programme began with the tale of faith and courage by Japjot Singh of, class VII D, on the supreme sacrifice of 2 'Chhote Sahibzaade' who laid their lives for keeping their values and in turn the humanity alive. This was followed by a powerpoint presentation by Adeeb of Class VII E and Sarah of VII D, on the luminary life of Swami Vivekananda, who was a great leader, a patriot, and the first cultural ambassador of India to the west who raised the prestige of Indiain the eyes of western people. He had immense faith in the power of youth of India therefore his Birth anniversary, which falls on January 12, is observed as National Youth day every year. Adding to the theme of the day, a Group Discussion on the book 'How to Win Friends and Influence People' was held as a culminating part of the programme. A group of 12 members of the Readers' club initiated a discussion on the topic 'A bully won't stop until his mind set is changed'. A thought-provoking, intellectual and relevant discussion was carried out in the group. The discussion was judged by Mrs.Renu Immanueland following were the prize winners: 1. Leader- Vedika Thakur (VII F) 2. Communicator - Manya Garg (VII F) 3. Confronter- Kanav Sood (VIII A) The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Raschel Kaushal of VII D.
