October 15, is celebrated as World Students’ Day is celebrated across the globe to mark the birth anniversary of an Indian Aerospace scientist, Bharat RatnaDr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, whoalso served as the 11th President of India.DrKalam was known for his love for students and focus on promoting education. Therefore, in his honour, United Nations declared 15th October– his birthday as the World Students’ Day in 2010.
To appreciate and acknowledge the teachings and contributions of the great leader, the Readers of Middle Section commenced week long celebrations of World Students’ Day in the with great zeal and enthusiasm.The activities included story-telling in the classrooms, from the life of Dr.Kalam, Sharing of a quote by Dr.Kalam or a fact of his life in the common assembly for a week,a role play in the classrooms by the members of the club followed by a quiz, on Oct. 15, 2022. The students felt enriched nd inspired by the luminary life of Dr. Abdul Kalam’s. It was a great learning experience for one and all.
