Nritya Tarang: Showcasing Student Dance Excellence
On 6th August, a highly anticipated contest, a breathtaking exhibition of talent and flair,Nritya Tarang (a solo dance competition) was organized at Kundan Vidya Mandir. Out of 900 students who auditioned for the first round 48 were selected to compete in the finale round.
Dr.Suksham Walia,Principal of Arya College,presided over the function as the chief guest.
The HOD Dance and Music, Mrs Seema Sood welcomed the Chief guest and introduced the judges to the audience.Mrs.Richa Thapar and Mrs.Sunaina Ohri graced the occasion as judges. Our esteemed trustee Mr Ashwani Kumar, the Vice Principal, Mr S B Chaudhary and all administrative heads lended their presence to the occasion.
Mrs.Seema also briefed the participants on the competition guidelines. The program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a prayer to seek the blessings of the divine through a rendition of Saraswati Vandana. The event featured a diverse range of dance styles, highlighting the performers adaptability and energy.The participants’ enthusiasm and dedication to dance was palpable throughout the event.
The choreography, rhythm, synchronisation and presentation of all the contestants was so mesmerising and captivating that the panel of judges had a tough time deciding the best out of the best.
The winners in each category were awarded with prizes and Saisha Sehgal proposed a vote of thanks. This event highlights the school commitment to fostering artistic expression and talent amongst students. National Anthem marked the closing of this contest .
