The arena of Kundan Vidya Mandir School, Ludhiana reverberated with the sound of zeal and vigour as the Preparatory Section of Kundan Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec School celebrated its Annual Sports Day- 2023, on November 30, 2023 amidst great mirth, verve and camaraderie. The hon’ble Chief guest who graced the event , Ms. Rani Rampal is a proud Olympian and International Hockey Player along with Guest of Honour, Mr. Raj Kumar Choudhary - Assistant Commissioner of Police Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana (National Judo Player) Ms.Nafees Bhambi, Incharge Preparatory Section, addressed the gathering and welcomed the Guests and dignitaries which was entailed by the hoisting of School Flag and declaration of the Meet Open by Ms. Rani Rampal. The releasing of balloons ensued therein to mark the beginning of joy and merriment. Subsequently, the oath-taking ceremony by the athletes filled the air with great energy. This was followed by a well- synchronized March Past by the six House Contingents of the Preparatory Wing rendering the parent spectators awestruck.
Next came the Aerobics Display and Drill involving mass student participation of Class 3 and Class 5 respectively which splattered on the field, a riot of hues and vibrancy. Due to a sudden shower of rain, the rest of the sports events were postponed but the parents and dignitaries were promptly shifted to the School Auditorium where the National and State Level Athletes were felicitated by the Chief Guest. The girls Hockey Team of the school was also felicitated before the audience which was followed by an inspiring speech by the Chief Guest.
