International Tolerance Day: Promoting Mutual Understanding and Acceptance

International Tolerance Day is observed on November 16th each year to raise awareness about the importance of tolerance by fostering mutual understanding among culture and people.
The UN proclaimed the year 1995 to be the year of tolerance. The UN made this decision to establish International Tolerance Day in 1995 as the way to honour Mahatma Gandhi's 125th birthday that year.
Preparatory Section celebrated this day by showing a ppt to students of Grade 3 to 5 in context with elaborating a difference in a positive light.
