Kundan Vidya Mandir declared as Centre of Excellence for Promotion of Life Skills, Health and Well Being
Kundan Vidya Mandir was declared as Centre of Excellence for promoting life skills, health and well-being under the program ‘Aatam Abha' in collaboration with Expressions India which works closely with CBSE. The inauguration was done on June 6, 2022 by the Internationally acclaimed Psychiatrist and Director of Expressions India, Dr Jitendra Nagpal and Principal, Kundan Vidya Mandir, Mr. A. P. Sharma. Kundan Vidya Mandir is also running ‘The Adolescent Peer Educators Leadership Program’ by CBSE where in the students were trained and they pledged to be the Ambassadors for promoting mental well-being.
Speaking on the occasion the Principal of Kundan Vidya Mandir, Mr. A.P. Sharma said that under this program, regular monthly sessions will be held in school for ensuring the mental health and well-being of the youth of Punjab. Dr. Jitendra Nagpal apprised the audience about the role of teachers in nurturing the young minds and creating safe spaces for them where they are able to develop high self-esteem and confidence. He further added that this will help in empowering the youth and equipping them with basic life skills to face the challenges.
The series of programs which will be held at Kundan Vidya Mandir will benefit all the stakeholders of the schools of Punjab.
