The members of KVM JAGRUK TEAM NATKHAT alongwith 10 students from the Preparatory Branch : the students of Class 5 visited ICCC Surveillance Centre in the office of Commissionerate in Zone D Sarabha Nagar Ludhiana today. This was an Awareness Programme wherein the students were appraised about the camera surveillance in the city - the purpose of which is to keep several eyes on the activities of the citizens and their actions, ie, encroachments, illegal graffiti, and accidents, etc to specify a few. Students were amazed to know that 1700 cameras have been installed at 700 sensitive points to keep a watch on people's activities.  The Plantation Drives undertaken by the Office of Commissionerate was an equable task similar to Members of the KVM JAGRUK TEAM NATKHAT : Save Trees Wing's contribution towards Mother Earth and the Environment. Students were also briefed about the three functional Sewage Treatment Plants in the city and the fourth almost ready to start the action. The students were also made aware of the Air Quality Index and how it is monitored. The active participation of our students in the interactive session was highly appreciated by authorities. Overall it was quite a learning experience for the students and they came to know about the steps taken by our Government on District Basis to ensure safety of each resident. They left the office with a promise that they would encourage and motivate their parents and society to participate wholeheartedly in the steps taken by the government for the same.
