Kundan Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, organised the ‘Earth Day Celebration’.

To sensitize the children to become crusaders for environmental conservation, the Preparatory Section - Kundan Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, organised the ‘Earth Day Celebration’.
Moving with the theme- Restore Our Earth, activities like Making old bottle planters were conducted wherein the students spoke about the way they will nurture the plant and conserve it. Class IV students made seed bombs and were asked to throw the same on some barren land on their way back home or on a highway. Making of Compost was done by Grade V children and the facilitator explained the need for composting and how it enriches the soil.

The children were made aware that ‘EVERY DAY IS AN EARTH DAY’ and the purpose of celebrating Earth Day is to keep our grass green and our skies blue with more trees and less pollution.
Ms. Nafees Bhambi, Preparatory Incharge, in her special address to the students, mentioned the importance of being receptive to the urgent need towards securing natural resources.
